Autism mom, if you think you are alone, you’re not.
I know it might seem like you are on an island all by yourself, but that’s far from true.
You feel that your family is the only family out there right now with an autistic child.
You feel that no one is up at night crying but you.
I am telling you, autism Mom, if you think you are alone, you’re not
You are out there blaming yourself for what might be going on with your child.
You feel that no other family out there has a child, that is…..
👉 not eating
👉 not sleeping
👉 and the list goes on
Listen up, Momma!!
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!
Many mothers of children on the spectrum go into a deep state of depression in the beginning before they realize they are not alone.
I know because that mother was me.
When I was told that there was nothing to be done to help my child other than helping him cope, I went into a deep state of depression.
I stayed in this state for a long time and did not want to talk about the fact that…
👉 my child was fighting me
👉 my child was hitting me
👉 my child was screaming for unknown reasons
👉 my child was banging his head against the wall
👉 my child only slept part of the night, which meant I didn’t sleep
👉 my child was not able to communicate his needs with me
👉 I couldn’t take my child out in public because I feared what he would do
👉 my child was always sick
I did not want to talk to anyone about this because I felt everyone else had it all together.
Little did I know, that was not the case and still is true today, 2021.
Momma, you are not on an island alone.
This island is becoming so crowded every day.
Autism rates are skyrocketing!! 🚀
The current rate of autism as of 2020 is 1 and 54.
Out of 54 kids being born, 1 of them will receive an autism diagnosis.
On top of this, boys are 4x more likely to be diagnosed than girls.
Does this help you any??
I hope it opens your eyes up a little to see that you are not alone.
If you are reading this post and you are currently in a state of denial or depression, here’s what you need to do..
Grab a tissue, wipe your face, and know that there is hope for your child.
If you put in the work and help your child, they can achieve a better quality of life.
I know you are….
👉🏿You are afraid
👉🏿You are lost
👉🏿You are confused
👉🏿You are scared
👉🏿You don’t know who to trust
But your child will be okay if you put in the work and help him/her.
When I finally decided to get out of my state of depression, things got so much better for my child and the entire family.
Everything improved for my son when I finally realized there was more to his life than letting a piece of paper determine how he would turn out.
As I started down the nutritional path, peeling the layers to get down to the root of his problem, things started to happen.
⭐ He stopped fighting me
⭐ He stopped hitting me
⭐ The screaming disappeared
⭐ He started to sleep at night, all night long
⭐ He started asking for what he wanted
⭐ He was able to handle being out in public
⭐ He stopped getting ear infections and being sick all the time
⭐ And so many other witnessed improvements
Your child will not get better if you choose to let a piece of paper determine his/her destiny.
Your child needs your help, Momma!!
Autism Mom, if you think you are alone, you’re not
Here’s what you can start doing now.
⭐ Get out of your depression state and know that it will get better
⭐ Understand that you will have to put in the work to help your child, but it is so worth it in the long run
⭐ Get prepared to start your journey and remember it is not a race; patience is required.
Once you start to take small steps and work on the things that truly matter, your child and the entire family will gain a better quality of life.
If you are sitting there because you are confused don’t know what to do, I want you to know it’s okay to ask for help.
Your child’s quality of life truly matters.
