Vegan Apple Crisp (Gluten free & Dairy free) - Filling
This dish is perfect for those with dietary restrictions or food allergies. It is a vegan, gluten free, and dairy-free version of the classic apple crisp. The filling is made with apples, cinnamon, monk sweetener, lemon juice, and nutmeg.
2TspMonk Sweetener (OPTIONAL- depending on the apples you choose to use) If you are using tart apples then you can add additional sweetener otherwise it is not needed.
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Peel and chop the apples into small pieces.
In a large bowl, mix together the apples, apple juice, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Pour the mixture into an 8x8-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the topping over the apple mixture. (See Topping RECIPE below)
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
