What is Apple Crisp?

Apple crisp is a dessert that typically consists of a layer of apples topped with a streusel-like crumb topping.

It can be served on its own or with ice cream, whipped cream, or other toppings.

While the exact origins of apple crisp are unknown, it is thought to have originated in the United States in the 19th century.

The dish gained popularity in the mid-20th century and has since become a staple of American cuisine.

Apple crisp is typically made with tart apples such as Granny Smith, but any type of apple can be used.

The entire dish is then baked until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
