Almond flour – The use of almond flour in baking Christmas cookies is a clever idea that will make your favorite treats healthier and more satisfying.
Arrowroot flour – Arrowroot flour is an ingredient that helps with firmness and structure when making Christmas cookies.
Baking soda – Baking soda is used to create a unique flavor in Christmas cookies.

How to make gluten free christmas cookies recipes?
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large bowl, mix together cassava, almond, and arrowroot flour. Add salt and baking soda to the flour and mix well.
- Add palm shortening, honey, and vanilla flavoring. Mix well until the dough starts to form.
- Add in DF Milk (Almond or preferred milk). Add 1 TBSP at a time. The dough should not be too dry or wet. Add in more milk if needed.
- Chill the cookie dough for 15 minutes to 30 minutes. Then use a rolling pin to thin out the dough. Use cookie cutters to make cookies into the shape of your choice.
- Place the cookie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
- Put your icing of choice.

Making Gluten Free Low Sugar Christmas Cookies
As you can see this recipe is not using sugar as an ingredient which means the natural sweetness of the honey makes these cookies just as delicious.
If you prefer to use another sweetener substitute in this gluten free christmas cookies recipe, feel free to do so. I have tried this recipe with other sweetners and they still come out great.
If you prefer regular sugar you can substitue the honey for sugar as well.

Ingredients
- ½ Cup cassava flour
